Our client is looking for a Care manager to provide support services to vulnerable young people and be able to identify and take appropriate actions according to their needs, in conjunction with other parties and agencies.
You will oversee and be responsible for the management of the support work team and resident young people within your units and be able identify and take appropriate action according to the needs and requirements of the young people in your care, in conjunction with other parties and agencies as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to and promote company policies and procedures.
- Chair disciplinary, appeal and grievance hearings as required and implement in line
with company policy and following advice from the HR Department.
- Agree any development and training plans for support staff under your management.
- Provide support, supervision, and mentorship to the support staff under your management.
- Monitor compliance within your units in relation quality assurance and health and safety.
- To be familiar with, and promote The Beeches UK policies and procedures, applying all knowledge to work practices.
- To act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations to ensure the well-being of young people and others, and to maintain the reputational integrity of the organisation.
- To maintain clear and accurate records as required by the policies and procedures, and to ensure that all records are completed accurately and to acceptable standards.
- To ensure Health & Safety policy and procedures are always maintained, managing any hazards and ensuring rectification where necessary
- To undertake developmental training where offered, and to maintain & improve knowledge and skills in the interests of achieving the aim and objectives of the organisation.
- To liaise with outside agencies as necessary.
- To attend and take part in Supervision with line management and develop their own skills and work practices.
- To be familiar with, and use, the organisations ‘Whistle Blowing’ policy in the event of any abuse, neglect or harassment occurring within the organisation.
- To respect the confidentiality of colleagues and young people, unless in direct conjunction with the ‘Whistle Blowing’ policy.
- To act immediately to resolve any conflicts within the organisation, and to support the use of the defined procedures.
- To carry out any reasonable requests by the SBC senior management team, as deemed necessary to fulfil the Care Manager role.
