Purpose of the role:

  • To maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of the company’s policies and procedures.
  • To carry out all duties in line with the policies and equal opportunities by providing a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with the telephone enquiries and escalating to the senior team if necessary.
  • To undertake admin duties as required i.e. ClearCare recording, Logbooks, Accident book, petty cash.
  • To maintain case file records including assessment plans, decisions, visits and their implementation and evaluation of actions with regard to their holistic care plans.
  • To promote and encourage learning and to participate on educational activities within the programme of education revised by the company.
  • Assist the young people with their daily activities.
  • To ensure that the young people are safeguarded at all times along with their welfare.

Training:

  • Full training will be given which will also include on the job training as well in house training and external training courses.
  • Studying towards Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young people’s Workforce qualification.
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • A genuine interest and caring approach towards working with young people.
  • Motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Team player as well being able to lone work.
  • A full clean driving license is essential for this role and ideally have held the license for a minimum of 1 year.
