Registered Residential Manager children and young people – Peterborough £35,000 – £45,000

H & L Healthcare are currently looking for a Registered Residential manager for a young person’s Home in the Peterborough area.

We are looking to recruit high quality professionals who would bring a creative approach to helping children reconnect with learning and manage their behaviour and are committed to excellence in personalisation.

You should bring a wide range of knowledge and experience as a residential childcare practitioner with management experience and be suitably qualified.

The successful candidate will need to be approved by the appropriate statutory body. This will require Ofsted registration in accordance with their respective timescales and conditions.

In this role the following Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge is required

• NVQ5 in Health & Social Care in (Children & Young People) leadership and management or willing to work towards in the first 6 months
• 2 years working with EBD children within the past 5 years
• 3-5 years at Senior Level in residential care
• Exemplary attendance and performance record
• Managing Ofsted inspections to a minimum overall ‘good’ rating
• In-depth knowledge of National Minimum Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations * In-depth and up to date knowledge of Childcare legislation and current safeguarding legislation including Child Protection
• Awareness of Equality & Diversity and ADP matters
• Good understanding the needs of learning disabilities and EBD  Children including strategies used to manage challenging behaviour
• Commercial awareness, considering the needs of the business, our Local Authority partners, the Home and the needs of the young people.

A full driver’s licence is essential along with an Enhanced DBS Check adult and children to be completed if you are successful in this role.
